Pastor, teacher, author, podcast host and conference speaker, Dr. Lynda K. Davis has served in ministry for over twenty years. Pneuma, birthed from a passion to minister to others in a spirit of Godly excellence, was founded by Dr. Davis in 2002. She later founded Breath of Life Church in 2004 in St. Louis, MO.
She hosted the weekly “Breath of Life” Radio Broadcast on KSTL 690 FM in St. Louis. In collaboration with the Christian Activity Center in East St. Louis, IL, she mentored underserved young girls through the “Girl Talk” Program.
While serving as a Chaplain at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital (a satellite of Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center) in St. Louis, she completed a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) unit. The hospital is an accredited member center of ACPE, a member of the St. Louis Cluster, ACPE, and is accredited under the standards of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc.
Her volunteerism is evident from her time spent providing assistance and direction to women through the St. Louis Women’s Crisis Hotline. For the last six years, she has served as Race Director for KSI’s Interfaith 5K Race/Walk, which seeks to promote healthy choices for healthy living within the faith community.
Dr. Davis has hosted and keynoted several conferences, among which are Pneuma’s Worship Conference in St. Louis, Women Organizing Women, Inc.’s (WOW) Conference in Indianapolis, IN and the Women in Ministry Conference in Jackson, TN. She also keynoted the Zimbabwean Women of Virtue Conference in St. Louis and the Christ Covenant Kenyan Women’s Ministry Conference.
In her book, Second Winds, she shares her very personal account of struggle and triumph as she “stepped into her God-ordained destiny” to share the gospel.
With transparency, Dr. Davis highlights some of the challenges faced by women in (or planning to enter) ministry. Her book is well-suited for readers from all backgrounds; and empowers them to recognize his or her full potential, despite the obstacles faced by those who dare to acknowledge God’s call on their life.
Pastor Davis currently serves as Pastor and Church Administrator under Apostles, Drs. Larry and Teresa Robinson, at KingDom SeeKers Interdenominational Church, Inc. and at sister church, Cane Creek M. B. Church, Inc., in Jackson, TN.
Dr. Davis earned her Th.D. from Jacksonville Theological Seminary, her Master of Theology from Christian Life School of Theology in Columbus, GA and her MBA from Fontbonne University in St. Louis, MO.
